VIRTUAL LEARNING MEALS
USDA has announced that they will be issuing an extension of the SFSP and SSO Programs through June 30, 2021. This means that all student meals, including breakfast and lunch, will be free throughout the district. This also means that all children between the ages of 1 and 18, who do not participate in face to face learning, are eligible for the free breakfast and lunches being offered to students who attend school within the district.
Every Monday at 2:00 p.m., we have a meal pick up at the back door of the high school kitchen. We prepare meals for as many children living within your home for five days. That means five breakfasts and five lunches free for your children. In the case that school would be cancelled on any given Monday due to inclement weather, we would have the meal distribution on the next school day.
If you are interested in participating in the free meal program, all you need to do is call 814.669.1108 and speak to Tammy Vinglas. We will add your name to the list with the number of children in your household and the meals will be ready for you on Monday.
